• Heta...

I ask for help or clarification... I used to distribute it, and sometimes I would throw it away because I couldn't get it out of the section where it was - thick like a beard but equally clean and green... I noticed that for several months it has been decreasing. It doesn't grow, and there are many fragments turning into waste... I haven't changed the light, and it seems nothing has changed in the aquarium, except that the pH has dropped to 7.6... What are your thoughts... I also added a mantis shrimp there, but they are predators, it seems.

Nitrates and phosphates need to be measured, either close to zero parameters or an imbalance of nitrate and phosphate.

I recently stopped the growth of Heta by overdosing on lanthanum, i.e., reducing phosphate. It turned to mush in a day, and I had to throw away almost all of it; now only a small bunch is left. This started due to the imbalance in nutrients; before that, I was throwing it out by the buckets.
