• Help to properly prepare dry reef rock.

  • Jeffrey

Good day to all sea lovers. I am happy to announce that I plan to set up a 450-liter aquarium with dry reef rocks (DRC). How can I properly and effectively prepare the rocks? And can anyone recommend where to find beautiful, structural, and high-quality DRC? I would appreciate any advice.

buy on the forum in the flea market, soak in osmosis for about 10 days and scrub the surface with a brush, still something will remain somewhere, that's what maturation is for, so that everything is digested and settled down

I got it from A.A. at one time. The stone is excellent. I washed it off the dust, didn't soak it, and didn't visually see any decay. However, the start on S.R.K. (dry reef stones) is very prolonged, but smooth.

A long setup works for me. Even up to a year, I’m in no hurry for the aquarium to mature.

Buy porous and lightweight live rock (dry reef rocks) instead of heavy ones; the more holes it has, the better... And with the right setup, a little bacteria and live rock... And water from the aquarium... You don't need to wait a year... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
