• There is fog in the aquarium, help.

  • Jesse3979

Good day! Two days ago, my aquarium developed a haze, and there are small white particles floating around. Before that, I added a large red hermit crab, but I don't think it caused such a storm. Unfortunately, I can't do any tests, I have no means to do so. The aquarium is 500 liters. I would appreciate any information.

Ophiuroids can reproduce, maybe bacteria too. The main thing is to buy tests!

This is the first time for me in four years; I have many brittle stars, of course. The little one is still running around, maybe it threw something in there.

sour cream, kefir?

Come by - we'll do the tests.

Emily3144

Thank you, I will definitely stop by. But this is clearly a bacterial outbreak, though I don't know what it's for. The white light has completely disappeared, gradually receding.

In general, I found the reason. It's strange that I didn't realize it right away. The cause turned out to be that hermit crab I bought, as the sand filters so much that it raises dust. Tomorrow I will set up the pumps a bit differently, and then we'll see.

I had something like that when the anemones were reproducing. Maybe it's the same here too?

Tammy2040

No, I clearly saw yesterday who is stirring up the storm, we need to sift the sand well.

Nicholas

I would put such a pest straight into the samp.

Kristin

Unfortunately, I don't have any samples.
