• smashed the chest in the aquarium

Hi. A bit of a disaster happened. I filled the aquarium with almost 1000 liters of water and accidentally broke the thermometer with my elbow while handling it (it was lying on the straps), and everything fell into the tank. I siphoned out everything I could... but I'm still having doubts. What is it made of? It doesn't seem to be mercury - the balls are solid and black. It was either this type of thermometer or that one (I threw it away immediately and didn't remember exactly which one).

The thermometer contains alcohol, and the balls act as ballast in the hydrometer, made of black metal; try to collect them with a magnet.

Alcohol thermometer. Usually, nothing serious happens. Metal balls for weighting.

Thank you, friends, you calmed me down!!!! I was already thinking about draining the water....

Don't worry, before there were lead balls, now it's some kind of metal, and the liquid is alcohol-based, there's just a tiny bit of dye in it. I crashed twice in Samp, fixed it and forgot about it.
