• paint on glass

Hello. Can you tell me if spray paint for graffiti will hold up on the back side of glass? I want to apply it instead of film. Will it not peel over time? Thank you.

read about Plasti Dip... it turns out very well and is very easy to remove.

I have had paint from a regular spray can of black paint applied to a 100-liter container for half a year now (I bought it for 30 at Epicenter). So far, everything is going well, and there are no signs of peeling.

Does it look like a film? Are there any streaks or waves (if it happens) visible?

Lisa

Yes, it looks like a film applied without blisters. Paint streaks are only visible when looking at the aquarium from the back (the flaws of crooked hands during painting...), but when viewed through the front glass, the surface is smooth and glossy.

I'm just curious, what's wrong with film?

Keith7534

You need to know how to apply the film without bubbles (though that's a matter of skill). The paint from the spray can will adhere well, just make sure to degrease the glass to avoid waves, and for a denser color, apply two coats (after the first layer has dried).

Jenny

If you spray water on the surface of the wall with a sprayer beforehand and then apply the adhesive, there will be no bubbles.

Don't rush to paint in one go. The first layer should be light, just barely... The second, and then the third. This way, you'll avoid streaks and achieve an even coating.

Aaron

The aquarium is 3 meters long and 80 cm wide. It is difficult to glue such a sheet without bubbles.

The back wall has been painted for 3 years. The flight is normal.

Thank you all. I painted yesterday. It looks great, now I will always just paint.

Details! We need details! :-)

Michael

I will show it in the topic with water and stones.
