• What equipment to connect to the UPS

  • Larry9400

Hello, dear marine aquarium enthusiasts! The situation is as follows: I have a UPS Luxeon with a 28 Ah battery. It is connected to a return pump and a skimmer. The day before yesterday, there was a scheduled power outage for maintenance work, lasting 6 hours. When I came home from work, I saw that the battery had discharged by 80%, and there was a faint smell of the sea in the room (not rotten). Usually, when everything is working, there is no smell at all! So I thought, maybe I should connect the circulation pumps instead of the skimmer?

Of course, if possible, plant at least one flow pump.

Can I know the model of the UPS and what battery it uses?

I only have the stream connected to the display, I was pulling through 9-12 hour outages, the sample is empty and its disconnection poses no risk. But I have 7Ah; if I had more, I would connect the return as well, but the pen will survive without it.

The flow is more important than anything.

So it's decided, instead of a penny, I'll connect the flow. In this case, I think it will last for 10 hours.
