I received something similar from a seller as C.R.K. but at a price of around 50. And indeed, there were algae, traces of Carolina, and sponges on that stone. If it were kept in water for a month, it would probably come back to life. It is 99% not Black Sea, but also 99% soaked C.R.K. (dry reef stones). Here’s another seller; they started selling stones at the same time, and I warned that this is a scam.

Debbie3587

I have information that the last stone from the Republic of Fiji was imported according to the customs database in August 2008 by Tkach M.A.

Selena4467

He has a nickname, this is to avoid confusion with AROWANA.

Dawn6148

I apologize, I corrected it. The seller you mentioned at least did not claim that this is indeed a HIGH-QUALITY LIVING STONE.

Steven

Who told you that the stone was delivered by plane? The cargo is being transported to Germany and from there to here. No one will discuss the delivery schemes with you.

Cynthia

99% S.R.C. (dry reef rocks). If it is "properly" revived, the price is a maximum of 10-12 bucks. At the same time, it will perform its function in the aquarium. This is definitely not Black Sea stone.

Cheryl9296

The stone sent, you personally chose it and no one forced you to take it. I have already mentioned the information about the stone.

Scott8536

Guys, first read what J.K. (living stones) is. Discussions about the quality of J.K. (living stones) arise every 1-2 years.

Jeffrey496

AROWANA I think you need to make concessions and resolve the issue peacefully. After all, the stone visually resembles M.R.K. (dry reef stones), and the fact that I couldn't fully imagine what L.K. (live stones) is does not give anyone the right to say that your problems are what you saw and took.

Todd8452

I want to clarify once again that this is not S.R.C. (dry reef rocks), but J.K. (live rocks), which is why I sold it accordingly. I don't even know how long it would take to acquire S.R.C. (dry reef rocks). The same J.K. (live rocks) varies as it is brought from different places. At the moment, all the rocks are sold, the tanks and equipment have been dismantled, and after the nonsense and foolishness that he writes, I will not negotiate with him on principle.

Chad231

I agree with this and mentioned it in another thread. Well, those who wanted to hear it did, and those who didn't... That's true. And here's a photo of a good KJ. There are also S.R.K. (dry reef stones) prepared there. And the topic is informative.

Johnny

Did the stone fly by plane or was it transported? If you don't mind, please show the packaging. How long was this stone on the road?

Angela

as a neutral party... I found this quality on a bourgeois website Fiji Stard Live Rock at a price of $5.14 per kg. A month ago, I also bought Fiji rock, but from another seller, and besides plankton, I didn't see any other life. I would have liked to receive a gift with the rock, but alas... I have no complaints about the seller; I understand that this is primarily about biofiltration, and the indicator of the "liveliness" of the rock is zero values of ammonia/nitrite after a week.

Christopher8654

I agree with you, your post appeared only after the payment. I also bought my rock from AROWANA, and during the two weeks it spent in an empty aquarium, I didn't notice a single tiny bug. Since I am a beginner in marine aquariums, I realized that the rock is not quite live rock when I started acquiring soft corals from different sellers. And it turned out that there is more life per square centimeter in the frags than in the purchased live rock. I can only hope that the purchased rock at least had strains of beneficial microorganisms present (as I believe this is the most important thing).

David3217

you are a happy owner of at least plankton I don't even have plankton greetings to you, deceived investor in MMM AROWANA or elite center, hope dies last on S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) can also be launched and exist but it should be a conscious choice and not a result of deception

Leslie

People, there are proven sellers of J.K. (live stones) with years of experience. And to fall for a 30-50% cheaper price with such a risk...

Andrea8397

The stone is beautiful, oh my! Check out the topic on Airi and see the latest shipment of live rocks; they are so vibrant, you'll be licking your fingers! As for what I have here, after 3 months in a zero aquarium, the dry reef rocks look more alive.

Steven

Here, it wasn't the price difference that influenced the decision, but the ability to choose the specific stone that is suitable for a small aquarium. If I were setting up a 200-400 liter aquarium, I would certainly order from trusted sellers without hesitation.

Susan1358

Yes, and you turn out to be a mischievous one... They were ranting about Lviv sellers... P.S. People, you just don't understand, you are being sent the highest quality J.K. (living stones), only it's "alternative."

Angela6489

Gentlemen, everything is already clear. There is no point in dragging this out further. Those who have purchased this device, relax and enjoy your aquariums. Nothing terrible has happened. You will still be getting rid of the little critters; for example, I have been keeping my normal live rock in the sump without light for almost 4 months to get rid of unwanted life. If you had bought 100 kg of this product, then yes, it would be disappointing, but as it is, it's a lesson for the future. Many have gone through this. Buy 1-2 kg, for example, from A, and everything will be fine. Good luck with building your aquariums.

Amber

The arion doesn't say anything, his facts change five times a day, sometimes it's by plane, sometimes by car, the next option will be *carried by hand, and of course by rocket* But the stone is 100% not from the Black Sea and not alive. Judging by the photo of the arowana S. R. K. (dry reef stones) that has been in the aquarium for 1-2 months, it should have a more lively appearance, but at a very high price! I would advise you not to ruin your nerves; they are more valuable. You can't say anything to this person! He has top-quality J. K. (live stones).

Angel628

It's not complicated at all. Both in Airife and at A, there are completely normal and reasonable people working. They send packages to different cities every day, and sending your order is also not a problem. Just call and have a conversation to start with.

Robert5335

We are discussing the quality of live stones in the topic, not alternative systems and live stone sellers.

Corey3201

I am truly amazed at you! Both in aquarium keeping and in your tact towards customers! It is clear to everyone that you sold S.R.K. (dry reef rocks)! How can you bring yourself to type and claim that this is *J.K. (live rocks)*? I am more afraid to ask you where you kept this J.K. (live rocks) than where the buyer placed it! But I see you are knowledgeable. An experienced aquarist... how could you be so misled???

Jeffery7866

Voting will not change anything! Here, every aquarist who has seen both S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) and Z.K. (live rocks) and has observed the degree of growth on S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) in the aquarium will say that what you bought is S.R.K. (dry reef rocks) that has been in the system for 1-3 months!

Jill9137

91, it was a joke I think AROWANA is no longer relevant I apologize, I was mistaken we have waited it's too early to draw conclusions let's continue

Alejandro

I explained the origin of live rocks in private. It is his personal matter not to disclose his supplier. It would be interesting to hear the opinion of an authoritative aquarist from Odessa about the quality of live rocks.

Adam

There's no need to mention the supplier and delivery methods! However, it would have been nice to post a photo of the packaging and the delivery time of the stone (how many hours it was in transit) as well. P.S. I don't know if it's a gemstone or not, and it's hard to tell from the photo. What surprised me is that the stone is from Fiji, and even if it is from Fiji and wasn't flown, I wonder how long it was in transit...

Adrienne

I agree! It's just a banal situation: the seller ordered something, on the way to him "something" got damaged, the seller didn't figure it out, or just turned a blind eye—who's to blame? The buyer, who relies on the seller's integrity? It's the same here; if the Arowana saw that the stone was frozen, he should have at least lowered the price instead of selling it at the "premium live stones" price.

Charles894

I specifically took a photo of the box in which the stone with the fish arrived. The stone arrived alive and did not freeze, at least because the fish came with it. Unfortunately, I cannot show the date of arrival since the boxes do not have the arrival and departure dates of the cargo. There was also a newspaper that the senders used to line the inside with foam, dated from mid-December. You are writing complete nonsense about whether the stone froze; at least out of curiosity, check the weather forecast for when the frost began, clearly not in 2012 when I received it.

Stephanie3084

I had a situation where the train conductor on the way to Odessa seized a package with corals worth 800. I sent a new package to the people and that was it, without any quarrels or scandals. I am a person who stands by my word. Would I refund the money? I would say that in any case, I would resolve the situation one way or another. Here I have drawn a conclusion, expressed my opinion, and I don't want to keep stirring the water in the mortar. Besides, the people who read this topic have made their own conclusions.

Richard2180

That's when it all started, but in 2013 it was warm. For example: PS I'm not talking about the stone, I'm talking about the weather; it's not nice to say black about white...

Emma

I apologize for not noticing the frost while I was in the South. In any case, you recorded the readings from early December, but when I received the package, it was above "0" during the day; you can check this for December 26, 2012, and I received the package on December 30, 2012. Additionally, it came with fish, and they were alive; I have already mentioned this. So I did not say anything negative about the white, you are mistaken.

Stephanie9175

December 20 - the beginning of the month? Alright, it's up to you.

Laura4892

So, what's all the fuss about? It seems like they're just getting carried away. It's clear that it's not great, but that's after traveling around Europe.

Nancy758

Where did you see the growths? With what? Cyanobacteria? Probably what you considered "growths" are remnants of "dry" organic matter, the vast majority of which I removed (there was a lot, especially in the pores, but it was DRY).

Anthony

I probably thought "turned blue" meant good.

Jeffrey6189

The fact that the stone is bubbling is not an indicator; even a good live rock can bubble, and there are many reasons for this: 1. Maturation of the aquarium in the initial stage, and this is normal. 2. Water preparation 3. Lighting There are two reputable aquarists in your city; invite them over to take a look.

Jesse

I apologize if I misunderstood. There are no signs of life at all. Thank you, I will take that into account. Why didn't the other stone develop bubbles while being in the same conditions? The water is from the containers of reputable aquarists; I regularly seek their advice, and I thank them for their tips (a different topic has been created for discussion, your advice would be very helpful). This topic is about whether this stone is a quality live rock or not. In your reviews, I would like you to comment specifically on this matter.

Brandy

An experienced aquarist who has purchased this live rock can competently express how alive this stone is.

David4968

The absence of visible life is not an indicator; it could have been wiped out from the lower layers of the reef, which is why there might not have been any Carolinas either. Such outbreaks of cyanobacteria and diatoms can occur, as I mentioned earlier, not only because of live rock (J.K.) or dry reef rock (S.R.K.), but due to any disturbance, even in an established aquarium. For example, if you stirred the sand or added some stones, it could trigger a restart. The fact that you added water from established aquariums is good, but it won't save the maturation of the aquarium. Time is needed for the entire system to stabilize.

Daniel9952

Carolina is not worried; it will start to grow in a month almost everywhere, this is definitely not an indicator. Maybe I just can't express it correctly, but it seems like the stone was specially dried and then soaked. There were remnants of living organisms on it, and I cleaned quite a lot (it was coming out from almost all the cracks), but everything is dry. If you agree, there will be time to drop by, we can break the stone, and you can take a look inside and share your opinion.

Jennifer7578

In the photo, one stone is a premium live rock, and the second is a good quality dry reef rock. Which one is which?

Randall7906

It all depends on the seller's honesty. I have a stone that is not even animated (I probably wouldn't be able to determine if it were animated).

Andrew7823

Off-topic. I'm following the topic and wouldn't dare to make a determination. And thank God I didn't sell my stone through the forum; there are no overgrowths, and the foam in the photo is dry...

Jessica5016

Can I try to guess? I have little experience, but on the left is L.R. (live rock), and the stone on the right is S.R. (dry reef rock). As many S.R. (dry reef rocks) as I've seen, they all resemble not a stone, but something similar to the right stone, i.e., a former coral, while L.R. (live rock) somehow looks more like a stone with coral elements, something like that. P.S. No matter how much I searched, I have never seen S.R. (dry reef rock) in the form of a stone, except for the Aira rock from CaribSea.

Mary

I don't tear my soul. I need to populate this stone with something (microorganisms) - for that, I need to get them from somewhere - buy more live stones. I haven't planned for more stone yet. That's the whole catch. It's not quite right to provide a fraudster with excessive profit either.

William5838

I have already said how the stone will be settled and with what.

Beth3383

Alright, I'll deal with the settling in, for now, there are too many ammonium and nitrates. Off-topic, I'm tired of having two half-aquariums on the table, there aren't enough sockets. And what to do with the frog?

Charles5941

In such water, live rock (LR) doesn't feel very good. This is what I was talking about regarding these stages. Once it stabilizes, then you can add more live rock (LR) for variety in the livestock, or you can buy soft coral on a rock from the supplier; they are transported under better conditions than live rock (LR).

Jessica6754

On the right, there is a good S.R.K. (dry reef rocks)
