Go to the WAY-X profile, in the albums. In his aquarium, it was necessary to make a Stockman. Essentially, there are no problems, it's just technologically easier to make a Durso. The Stockman will be relevant in case of insufficient space in the shaft (pocket).

No... uh... BE AFRAID! It's better to trust the glass cutters, of course. I can say that in all my practice (not just a few seas), there has never been a problem with the drilling location.

It's still kind of scary... I've never done this before, and the aquarium is already glued, it would have been better to drill it first and then glue it, rather than drilling a finished aquarium... who knows... QUESTION: HOW to calculate the dimensions of the overflow chamber??????????

It doesn't matter how, the main thing is that everything fits in there and preferably that the hand can get in - I actually had a "pocket" and on the advice of someone, I don't regret it and was very pleased with it and am grateful.

That damn... I realized that it's not enough to calculate the drain, it's also important to calculate the column, now I'm really confused... the aquarium is only 250 liters, and I don't want to take up a lot of space for the column, there's not enough as it is...

Dude, turn on your brain and read fewer Soviet newspapers, especially before eating. When I first read "Logo," I seriously reconsidered getting into the sea business. There’s nothing particularly important in the calculations. The main thing is to be able to reach down to the bottom or retrieve a fish that accidentally dives down. When it comes to volumes, perimeters, and hydraulic resistance, none of that really matters. You do need to calculate the pipe diameter for drainage with a margin, but 1/2" will be more than enough, so don’t stress yourself out.

I just finished drilling glass, maybe due to inexperience, or maybe my hands are just clumsy, but the procedure is definitely not for the faint-hearted. P.S. Don't use high speeds on the screwdriver or drill... and don't skimp on water for cooling...
