There is a 400L aquarium. There are 3 external filters: Tetra EX-1200, Fluval-405, Hydor-Prime 30. Is it possible to manage without a sump? That is, to make one of the filters a low flow (denitrifier). The others as the main ones with crushed live rock and current generators? I will come up with something for the ceramic shafts. There is also a sterilizer with a quartz lamp (homemade) and a Hagen surface skimmer. P.S. Sorry if the question is silly.

You can do everything this way... But it's easier and cheaper to use a flow... External filters may start to leak over time due to saltwater... There are many systems without sumps, and I had one like that... Get a skimmer, and put live rocks in the aquarium, and everything will be great.

Not only is FLUVAL designed for M.A. (marine aquarium), and it's not a very good option. If you know everything and are not planning a reef, then the last piece of advice is to try to separate quotes from your answers, read about the operation principle of the nitrate reducer, its price and maintenance, and whether it is worth using instead of a skimmer.
